“We are Recording you Nairobi” is a space hosted by the Edgelands Institute in partnership with the Lawyers Hub to explore how the digitalization of urban security is changing the urban social contract in Nairobi. During eight weeks, we will hold a series of conversations with experts, and a selected number of participants will work in two interdisciplinary teams to explore issues, and possible solutions, related to technology and surveillance in Nairobi.
This space aims to broader the discussions about the benefits and challenges in the way that digital tools are being used by city governments and private actors.
